Elite TV Week One - Part Two

The referee motions for the bell.

DING…..DING…..DING!!!!

Samantha:

And here we go!

Slade begins bouncing around and advances towards a stone still Ken Cache.

Samantha:

Abbie, what are your thoughts on that bombshell announcement from our General Manager about the King of the Elite Tournament?

Abbie:

Sam, this Tournament is going to grant someone a very incredible opportunity.  Desmond’s announcement has definitely made tonight’s show must see TV!

Slade goes for a lock-up, but is met by a boot to the midsection from Ken.  Ken follows it up with a fist to the face.

Samantha:

Ken's is connecting with some brutally stiff shots to the head and midsection of the newcomer Slade Everest!

Abbie:

That’s why I like him. Ken knows that he isn’t here to put on a show and pander to the fans.  He just wants to win matches and hurt people. There is no need to complicate things more than that.

Slade stumbles across the ring.  Ken slowly follows, landing another fist.  Slade falls into the corner.

Samantha:

Another hard shot from Cache! That cold, remorseless demeanor are some of the many reasons he earned his moniker, “The Reaper”.

Abbie:

He’s laying those rights in hard!

Cache pulls Slade up to his feet and drapes him in the corner.  He quickly slams a roundhouse kick into Slade’s stomach.  He pushes Slade up again and connects with another one.

Samantha:

Cache is delivering some stiff kicks to Slade’s midsection.

Abbie:

Cache has trained in several different disciplines, including MMA.  He’s a very well rounded fighter.  That’s what makes him so dangerous!  It’s hard to find a maneuver that he doesn’t have a counter for.

Cache grabs Slade by his arm and whips him across the ring into the opposite corner.  Cache runs in after him, but is caught by a boot from Slade.

Samantha:

And Ken charges face first into a boot from Slade!

Abbie:

How was he even able to lift up his leg after the beating he has taken so far?

Cache stumbles back a few steps.

Samantha:

Slade’s speed and agility look like they are helping him try and build some momentum.

Slade runs towards Ken, but Ken quickly grabs him, lifts him up, and slams him to the mat with a spinning spinebuster.

Abbie:

Ouch!  Too bad his speed and agility couldn’t help him with that.

Cache quickly rolls into a cover and the ref drops to make the count.

Referee:

1…

2…

Slade’s shoulder comes off the mat.

Samantha:

Kick out by Slade Everest!  This kid has a lot of fight in him, so it’s going to take a lot more than that to keep him down.

Cache shoots a cold look to the ref, but quickly gets back to his feet, dragging Slade with him by the hair.

Samantha:

Before Slade has a chance to do anything, Ken is quickly back on the offensive.  Smart move by The Reaper.

Abbie:

He’s machine-like in his approach in the ring.  He rarely makes a mistake because of it.

Samantha:

When he does he’s quick to learn from it.  He rarely makes the same mistake twice.

Cache clamps both hands behind Slade’s neck and send a knee into Slade’s gut.  He follows that up with another knee to the gut.  Ken lets go, letting Slade drop to his knees.

Samantha:

Vicious knee strikes from Cache.  He’s has controlled most of this match from the beginning.  With strikes like that we can see why.

Abbie:

If we’ve learned anything, it’s that Cache is laser focused.  Ken wants to win this tournament.

Cache hits the ropes and attempts a boot to Slade’s face.  Slade and jumps to his feet.  He jumps again, spinning in the air, and hits Cache with an enzuigiri.

Samantha:

Slade with a kick out of nowhere!

Abbie:

Where’d he pull that from?

As Cache stumbles, Slade quickly hits the ropes.  He drops Cache with a front dropkick on his return.

Samantha:

Slade finally manages to take the Cache off his feet.  This just may have been the opening that Slade needs!

Cache hits the mat and uses the momentum to roll outside the ring.  He walks around, trying to  regain his composure.

Abbie:

Ken Cache slowing down the pace to where he wants it.  Smart move.  Wait a minute….

Cache looks up just as Slade flies between the ropes at him, knocking him to the ground.

Samantha:

Tope Suicida!

Abbie:

What the heck!

Slade quickly gets to his feet and pumps his arms to the adulation of the crowd.

Samantha:

This capacity crowd likes what they’re seeing from Slade Everest.  They are really getting behind this kid!

Abbie:

I’ll give him credit, he’s fearless!

Slade then mounts Ken and begins raining down forearms to his head.

Samantha:

Slade keeping up the offense, not giving Ken a second to recover.

Abbie:

If Slade can keep this up, and that’s a mighty big if, he just may have a chance to get the victory.

Slade then pulled Ken back to his feet and rolled him back into the ring, but pulls his head over the edge of the apron.

Samantha:

What’s Slade have in mind here?

Everest jumps to the apron himself and throws up a finger.  The crowd responds.

Abbie:

Putting Cache in a position like that can’t be anything good.

Everest gets a running start and jumps into the air in a leg drop, but comes down on the edge of an empty apron.

Samantha:

Shades of the legendary Undertaker!

Abbie:

Too bad nobody was home!

Everest, who has fallen to the floor, writhes in pain.  Cache rolls out of the ring.

Samantha:

Cache is going to capitalize on Slade’s mistake.

Abbie:

Of course he is.  Ken is always thinking two moves ahead.

Cache grabs Everest by his hair and pulls him to his feet.  He whips Slade, slamming him into the steps at ringside.  The referee begins the ten count.

Referee:

1….

Samantha:

Nothing smart or pretty about that.  Just maliciousness from The Reaper!

Referee:

2….

Abbie:

Cache has no empathy Sam, that’s what makes him effective.

Referee:

3….

Stone faced, Cache looks up at the referee before walking over to Everest and once again lifting him to his feet by his hair.  He grabs him around the waist and drives him back first into the ring apron.  Slade yells in agony, dropping to the floor.

Referee:

4….

Samantha:

My word!  I’ll be surprised if Slade can walk after that!

Referee:

5….

Cache quickly rolls into and back out of the ring, breaking the referee’s ten count.

Abbie:

Cache wisely breaking that ten count, inflicting as much damage as he can on the outside.

Ken reaches down and grabs another handful of Everest’s hair.  Slade reaches up and punches Ken in the stomach.

Samantha:

Slade still has some fight left in him!  It’s hard not to admire this kid’s heart and his will to win!

Abbie:

Or his stupidity to not know when to stay down.

Slade is able to connect with a series of punches to the stomach of Ken, doubling him over.

Samantha:

Slade hammering Cache with blow after blow to the midsection.

Slade then grabs Cache by the back of the head and rolls him into the ring.

Samantha:

Slade taking this back into the ring.  That’s a good decision after the viciousness we saw from Cache on the outside.

Slade quickly follows him in as Cache begins getting back to his feet.

Abbie:

Cache already getting back to his feet.  Looks like there is no quit in Cache either.

Slade quickly drops to the mat, missing a clothesline attempt from Cache.  Just as quickly he kips up.

Samantha:

Slade narrowly missed getting hit with a huge clothesline attempt from Ken.

Abbie:

You know, despite what I think about Slade Everest, that move still amazes me every time I see it!

Cache turns and swings for another clothesline, but Slade repeats the move, dropping to the mat and kipping up again.

Samantha:

Look at the athleticism on display from Slade Everest!

Abbie:

After that shot on the ring apron, how’s he doing this?

Cache turns again and is met with a hurricanrana, flinging Cache across the ring.

Samantha:

Hurricanrana!  Sending Cache flying!

Slade jumps to his feet, arms outstretched.  The crowd cheers.

Abbie:

Don’t pandor to these people!  Keep on him!

Samantha:

After the recuperative abilities we’ve seen from Ken Cache, that could cost Slade dearly.

Slade hits the ropes as Cache uses the ropes to get to his feet.  Slade jumps at Cache, but meets only air as Cache drops, pulling the top rope with him.  Slade crashes to the outside.

Samantha:

That may have been a desperation move from Ken Cache, but it was effective nonetheless!

Abbie:

All it takes is a couple seconds for Cache to regain his composure.  Slade should have been on him relentlessly.

Samantha:

I hate to say it Abbie, but I totally agree.

Cache climbs to his feet, holding the back of his head.  He climbs between the ropes and drops to the outside.

Samantha:

Cache looking to finally be showing a chink in his armor.  He’s holding the back of his head.

Abbie:

Yeah, he needs to end this one quickly.

Everest is a bit wobbly, but is back on his feet.  Ken then grabs Everest by the back of the head and runs Slade toward the ringpost but Slade uses the momentum to swing around the post, through the ring, and slam into Cache feet first.  Cache stumbles back.

Samantha:

A great counter by Everest!  He’s got Cache reeling!

Abbie:

Where does he pull these reserves from?

Slade gets to his feet on the ring apron and jumps off towards Cache.  At the last second Cache grabs him midair by both legs.  Slade landed hard on the ground, back first.

Samantha:

Whatever Slade intended was quickly countered there by Cache.

Abbie:

He caught Slade in mid-air and slammed him to the ground!

Cache uses his knees, that are in Everest’s back, as a fulcrum and drops back.  This flings Slade through the air causing him to crash, chest first, into the nearby announce table.

Samantha:

Cache just slingshot Slade Everest into our announce table!

Abbie:

That’s effective.

Slade slumps against the table as Cache gets to his feet.  Cache grabs him by the back of the hair and throws him into the ring, following him in.

Samantha:

Damage done, Cache is moving this back into the ring.

Abbie:

That’s where he needs to beat Everest.  He’s got him on the ropes, nothing left but to finish him off.

Cache backs up into the corner as a dazed Everest begins to move.

Samantha:

Cache lying in wait.  What’s he got planned here?

Abbie:

Nothing good I can assure you.

Everest makes his way to one knee and Cache runs at him.  Cache steps up onto Slades knee and sends his other boot into the side of Slade’s face.  Everest slumps to the mat.

Samatha:

Ken connects with the Drive-By Kick.  That move will put a man down for sure.

Abbie:

That move can only mean one thing.  This match is just about over!

Cache gets to his feet and pulls Slade up with him, locking him into a double underhook position.

Samantha:

We know what he’s setting up for here…..

He pulls a leg back and hits a lightning fast snap DDT.

Abbie:

Ken connects with the Cache Out!  This one has got to be over.

Cache rolls Slade over and makes the cover.  The referee drops to the mat for the count.

Referee:

1…

2…

3!!!

The referee signals for the bell.  DING…..DING…..DING!!!

Tommy:

Here is your winner…..”THE REAPER” KEN CACHE!!!!!

“Erase My Scars” by Evans Blue hits as Cache slowly rises to his feet, staring coldly down at Everest.  He pulls his arm away as the ref tries to raise it.  He advances a bit toward the ref, who backs away quickly.  He climbs through the ropes and unhurriedly makes his way up the ramp and through the curtain.

Samantha:

You called it Abbie.  Cache has ended this one and moved on in the King of the Elite tournament.

Abbie:

I never had any doubts.  Although Everest gave up more of a fight than I expected he would.

Samantha:

No doubt a great showing here from Everest.  He’s quickly moving up the ranks here in EWA.

Elite TV Week One - Part One

The scene opens on a shot of an entrance ramp, surrounded by a crowd of loudly cheering fans.  “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage plays in the background. After a few seconds it begins to fade out as you hear a woman’s voice start speaking.

Female Voice:

Hello everyone and welcome to Elite TV!  Samantha St. Claire here, along with my broadcast partner Abbie Storm!  We are just 24 hours removed from the biggest night of the year, Wrestlecade, and hachi machi Abbie, what an incredible night it was!

Abbie:

It sure was Sam!  My head is still spinning from everything that happened!  Titles defended, new champions crowned...

Samantha:

A lot did happen last night, and there surely will be a lot more happening tonight!  So let’s send it over to Tommy Harker to get us started!

The camera then pans to the ring, where a clean cut man in a nice suit is standing directly in the center.  He raises a mic to his lips.

Tommy:

The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

"Retrospect" by Rest, Repose begins playing over the loudspeakers.

Tommy:

Introducing first…..from Ashland, Ohio...SLADE EVEREST!!!

Slade made his way through the curtain and onto the ramp.  The crowd cheered as he flashed them a smile and made his way down the ramp.

Samantha:

Slade Everest is a relative newcomer to the sport of Professional Wrestling, but in the short time he has been here, he has done a great job of winning over the crowd here in the Elite Arena!

Abbie:

Yeah, he’s ok I guess.  I don’t know what it is, but he just hasn’t wowed me in the same way that he has done with you and everyone else.

As he climbed into the ring, Tommy raised the microphone back up to his mouth.

Tommy:

And his opponent…

"Retrospect" by Rest, Repose begins to fade out as “Erase My Scars” by Evans Blue starts playing over the loudspeaker.  The crowd began booing loudly.

Tommy:

From Salt Lake City, Utah…..”The Reaper”.....KEN CACHE!!!!!

Ken makes his way through the curtain.  He has an intense, expressionless look on his face as he makes his way down the ramp and towards the ring.

Samantha:

And here comes probably the most hated man in the building, Ken Cache.

Abbie:

He has a very cold, emotionless personality.  Very robotic. I love this guy!

As Ken began climbing inside the ring, his music stopped abruptly, and “I Am The God” by Corroded began playing over the loudspeaker.  A disembodied male voice with a British accent could now be heard.

Male voice:

Hold on...Hold on….Hold on!

A man walked through the curtain and made his way out to the center of the stage, microphone in hand.

Samantha:

What the?

Abbie:

It’s General Manager Desmond Murphy!  What is he doing out here?

Desmond:

How is everyone doing this evening?

The crowd cheers loudly in response.

Desmond:

That’s wonderful!  I’m glad to hear it!  Well, I don’t want to take up too much time, but I have something I want to say, so I will make this brief.  I wanted to let you all know that I’ve organized a single elimination, eight man tournament to crown the first ever King of the Elite.

A loud round of cheers came from the audience.  Once the cheering died down, Desmond continued.

Desmond:

We will have one match each week for the next six weeks, with the final two competitors facing off at our next PPV, Fallout.  The winner of this tournament will get a title match of their choosing at the Bash at the Beach PPV!

The crowd roars with approval.  Desmond turns to leave, but then turns abruptly back around.

Desmond:

Oh yes...and one other thing.  That tournament starts tonight, and the first match is going to be….SLADE EVEREST vs. “THE REAPER” KEN CACHE!!!!

Desmond then walks off the side of the stage as the crowd cheers in approval.

Samantha:

What a bomb Desmond Murphy just came out and dropped on us Abbie!

Abbie:

Hachi Machi Sam!  How exciting! I can’t wait to see who the rest of the participants for this tournament will be!
